Fueling the fire.

If there is something we all learn eventually, its that we need to keep our own fires burning. I dont mean that in a negative connotation, but something positive. Even though it takes years of practise to realize, we are infact capable of keeping them raging.

Whats the fire actually stand for you ask? Your happiness, your passion, your determination. You see, we dont need someone to tell us how wonderful we are, we should just know, but society has and continues to strip us of that power. The point im making from a mothers perspective is, i want my kids to have self-love, self-respect and be highly resilient, but also gentle, be kind and compassionate. Its up to us to ignite their flame and give them the tools to make there own fuel to keep their own fire burning. Teach them that although the world is full of blithering  wankers, that they can still make the world a better place.

We are teaching the next generation,  the generation thats going to have to reverse all the damage done thanks to us, our parents, grandparents and so on. We ignite the flame, and we keep ours burning.

I’m back!

I’ve been so caught up in my own little bubble that I haven’t allowed myself, or given myself the respect to just sit down, take a deep breath and release all of my negative thoughts and stresses. The truth is, as I stated in my last post: I haven’t felt myself. I’m working on getting on top of it, but as you all know, it’s easier said than done!

So much of my time and energy has/is going into the business and being a mother, to a now 3 month old boy (holy crap, where did the time go?!) that I haven’t had a chance to really think straight!

Now, I know it’s not just me, but I have found since becoming a mother and a parent that my grip on time has totally loosened and I have no idea if I am up or down sometimes! Days disappear as if I haven’t lived them at all, (sometimes I wonder if I have!) and other times days pop out of nowhere. It’s so hard to juggle everything and unfortunately writing this blog has been lost within the myriad of obstacles in my way and for a time, simply became a chore, which is not at all what the point in this blog is for me.

Well here I am, i’m going to ensure for my mental health, yet again, that I am regularly updating the blog!

The light of my life.

Where am I at now? Well, being a mother of a beautiful growing little boy cub is absolutely incredible! I consider myself so fortunate every day to have this little cub in my life and an incredible man by my side. Life is testing me right now but I am rising above, and currently feeling like a phoenix rising from the ashes. I feel like I can breathe again, and in turn I feel a light inside of me burning again that I haven’t felt for a long time.

I am trying to get back on the rails and look after myself in mind, body and spirit. My partner and I will be detoxing after my birthday and honestly, I am genuinely excited to get that part of our lives started so we can both be the best for ourselves and our cub. As much as I am trying to be happy within myself, standing on the scales for the first time in a year to find I am 100.9kg was a sad shock to me, and although I hate weight and would rather avoid owning scales, it still hit home and I keep telling myself to stop being so upset. Apart from, what feels like a huge setback,  I am counting my blessings each day and allowing myself to remember that I am important and when one loves themself, they can learn to love more. I am giving in ways I know how and this brings me higher again.

I hope you are all doing well, I look forward to writing on a regular basis again! Thank you for your patience, you are all incredible!

Happiness comes in all forms.

I couldn’t help but share these beautiful flowers. Isn’t it amazing what our incredible mother earth provides?

Happiness is being able to pick fresh flowers from the garden.

Home sweetest home

Well, we made it. Somehow! We managed to cart our insane amount of unnecessary belongings from a to b thanks to a lot of coffee, fart arsing around and incredible friends. And boy am I so glad to be away from the hubbub! I still have a lot of organizing to do but there’s not a whole lot left now which makes me feel very relieved.

What a stark contrast it is though! There’s room to swing many cats around! It just feels incredible to have access to a huge array of home grown fruit, vegetables and beautiful fauna. This is heavenly, how I thought I could stick to only city life is far beyond me now. That said, the day your child enters this world they are the center of everything therefore your priorities just have to change entirely. Family comes first.

We are still currently waiting for our internet to be connected so this is just a brief update to let you know that more for filling content will be uploaded soon once I am able to use the computer.

All the love and support,

Deflated but elated.

If you follow my blog and read my posts you know that I stopped breast feeding about 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately, as much as it was out of my control, I still find myself feeling guilty about it. I have to constantly remind myself that I did what I could, I did well and I chose to do what was best for the both of us.

Apart from that and the lack in sleep things have been really good. Our boy is blossoming each and every day and our love is ever growing. I am so proud to be a Mother and I’m finding my role more natural as the days melt into weeks and the weeks into months.

But it has come to my attention that my breasts are almost completely empty and I can’t help but notice these two plastic bags on my chest. My two only bras no longer fit, and as much as I am a positive force, I’m still human and I can’t help but feel a little, well, deflated occasionally.

It’s incredible the amount of changes a woman’s body is constantly going through. In my initial naivety I assumed that once my child was no longer inside of me that my body would soon return to it’s normal state..NOPE. Can you believe my surprise when I found my body still changing?

It’s going to take a long time to get used to this new body of mine. But I am teaching myself to love this body everyday! Now that I’ve started yoga it’s already helping me become open and receptive to all the positive vibrations this beautiful earth has to offer. I choose to love myself and take actions toward engraving that into my heart.

Love yourself ladies, you are all beautiful and incredible!

How bittersweet this contrast.

The day my son was placed upon my chest and into my arms, I felt LIFE. The newest and most pure essence of our life force. So young, so quintessentially innocent, yet resonating with radiant energy.

We all, as parents go through this in our own way. We see this from different points, at different times, depending on how receptive we are.

I’m twenty four years old. The energy of youth still abundant in my being and renewed by my gratification of bringing a life into this world. I feel such revelry to walk our mother earth each day and with each breath I am open to more.

When Torben met his great grandparents on my mother’s side, we entered the energy of a thousand life forces slowly being reverted to their place of origin, but oh! What a life lived. The presence of such a burgeoning energy was enough to change the entire atmosphere, even for a fleeting second.

We come forth into this world, overflowing with such beautiful naivety on a planet that has so much information to offer. How lucky to be offered self awareness we are!

Once our lessons have been learned, our wisdom has been passed and we have drawn all of our being from melioration, we return, one way or another; our essence released to whence it came.

Undoubtedly circling, constant yet certain is the human race as we initiate into this world, only to biologically decay even when our minds stay behind.

How bittersweet this contrast.

The Gratitude Challenge #1.

I’ve decided to give the 52 week gratitude challenge a start as of today.

I would love to teach myself to see more beauty and have more appreciation for the little things. We need more positivity and open mindedness in our world; now that I have a gorgeous baby boy, I need to be the absolute best I can be.

I need him to see how being open to all of the good in life can bring more and more good into ones life! Love is more powerful than hate!

Feeling very thankful today!
